Ferry Time

So I have to say it sucks getting up at 5:45am even if you are heading home. So we struggled out of bed on a cooler Wellington morning, piled the rest of our belongings into the car, turned everything off on the yacht and locked her up for another month or two. Drove to the Bluebridge ferry terminal and sat in the car waiting for boarding to commence. The sailing was pretty uneventful really, winds were pretty strong in the Cook Strait with probably 30-40kn but not really noticeable in the ship unless you go stand outside. I just ended up watching 'The invention of lying' at the start of the trip, the remaining journey through the Marlbrough Sounds is enjoyable and scenic so spent most the time outside or watching through the windows seeing whats going on.

After arrival and disembarking we headed for the fish and chip shop to get some hot lunch, headed for the marina in Picton to sit, enjoy the sun and have a look at the boats coming and going. Shortly after it was into the hot car and heading home, between napping, chatting, playing on iphone the time seemed to fly and the 4-5 hours were gone in no time. We basically threw everything out of the car and into the house, started rearranging all our cupboards to get all the extra food to fit in somewhere. Yay pudding cups.....I am content for a while now.
