Complete Chaos

After a pretty bad night sleep I got up just after 8am and looked at the mess I had created last night and pondered a bit....then decided to crack on and get the tank in place and connected. However rather hard as I have the wrong fittings (not blaming you James as I may not have been clear in my email). Anyhow I decided to go down to the local boat shop and see if they had some fittings and 1m of 50mm fuel grade filler hose but it was a negative on both counts, shit!! next back on the phone to James at EG's and see if he can chase up either Blenheim or Nelson branches to see if they has the fittings and it came back Blenheim has everything, and also turns out Enzed Blenheim has the fuel hose so off I went. A good hour and a half later I was back and into it, and for the next 12 hours I worked away like a trooper either plumbing the new fuel tank, bracing the tank or re-plumbing the whole boat in 15mm speedfit...or moving crap around the boat so I can get to another area to work. When it came to 7pm and I realised I had not really eaten today I threw a pie in  the oven and chowed down on that, then back to work! by the time knock off time rolled around at a lovely 11:15pm I have achieved the following: Install fuel tank and run all hoses (except breather line), brace fuel tank, remove old fuel sender from old tank and install in new tank, reinstall pump and pressure vessel, replumb boat right back to rear locker, pump good diesel out of old tank and put in new tank (all 20L of it), pump out 30L of fuel, sludge and water from the bilge into containers before the pump broke and I decided it was a sign and went for a shower. So after feeling a bit more human I climbed into bed with a juice, some chips and decided to write this. And on that note its time to listen to the music blearing from Slip Inn (wedding?) and try get some sleep because tomorrow isn't going to be a holiday either. Night all!
