Well all I can say is I am extremely thankful my boat loaded when it did (and the fact its now through the Panama Canal and steaming its way to New Zealand), but yeah if you have not been watching the news then you may have missed the fact hurricane Irene is barreling its way towards the east coast of Florida and right over where my boat was sitting only a week ago. The hurricane is currently sitting as a category 2 storm with predictions it will become a category 4 with winds over 200km/h by the time it hits Florida so hold on everyone and hopefully everyone makes it somewhere safe. Oh and 17 days until expected arrival of my boat into Auckland...yay! getting excited now.
