Easter/ANZAC - Day 11: Havelock - Christchurch

Today we awoke to sunshine again but the air was cold and the dew was heavy on the windows, we were up before our alarm and soon fed before cracking into the clean up after 10 days of living in close quarters with others. Pack up all the clothing in the cupboards, strip the bed, clean the bathrooms, pickle the watermaker, stow dive gear and compressor, empty cupboards, clean the deck…the list goes on and on. We were done in about 3 hours and were leaving the marina a few minutes before lunch. A quick stop to the local refuse station on the way home to recycle all the rubbish from the week and then we were off. Since it was lunch time we stopped at some café thing with a massive cargo plane outside it hoping for a quick pie and snack but were seated and handed menus so we up and left as couldn’t be bothered sitting in for a meal. In Blenheim we fuelled up, found a bakery and headed on home. Sadly that’s the end of the trip and as its nearing winter now it’s probably the last decent time out before we get out the other side of winter :o( but I am sure there will be a few trips here and there to do some maintenance.
