Today was one of those days I just didn't want to get out of bed, I feel stuffed up with cold and hot shivers and sweats. However after a few piping hot cups of tea I got to work on upstands for the new dodger. The reason for this is the fact the dodger has nothing to connect the bottom front edge to and as a result it just blows up making the dodger next to useless and I can only imagine it used to have something when the old teak deck was fitted. The new ones were made from shaped pieces of 100x50 timber, glassed over and faired. I was working on the fairing today and managed to get a good chunk done before coming to some sort of realization and went 'what the hell am I doing working while I feel this terrible!!' so went down for another hot drink and packed up my stuff, threw it in the van and headed home for what was probably one of the earliest departures from Havelock. The drive home sucked, I was constantly blowing my nose and the tissues felt like 40 grit sand paper by the time I got home, but a good meal at home and my bed seemed to make all the difference as I was already bouncing back to my original self.
