The morning was a beauty with nice easterly winds which were building from when we crawled out of bed, the sun was shining and it wasn’t long before the anchor was up, sail set and we were on the move (around 45nM sail today to Vaca Key). We were graced with the presence of some dolphins nearby but they never came very close to the boat, all in all a pretty normal day in term of sailing down Florida’s East coast. We arrived at a reasonable time today with plenty of time before sunset so decided to have another swim in the not so clear waters in the area (due to muddy bottom), attempted to wash our hair with shampoo in the sea which was a lot harder than in seems (try tred water, hold a bottle and soap your hair while being hit with waves...its hard!), swim out the way we watched a lovely sunset over the nearby bridge which spans between Keys and this one is HUGE! Its something like 12km long and goes as far as the eye can see. Again spent the night down below out of the persistent Atlantic winds playing cards into the night.
