Painting time

After being back on solid ground for a few days I thought I would spend my last week off work doing work on the boat since I am not going to get much of a chance for a while. I thought I would start by replacing the 2 rear hatches since we had bought them in Wellington, I took the old one off, bogged the holes and sanded it back and painted before sealing and screwing the new hatch down....however when I arrived the next day I had a closer look and realized I have installed the hatch around the wrong way so that the mainsheet traveler will not go past it, whoops! so rip it off which in turn damaged the paint and now i have a set of new holes to refill, sand and repaint the area. I left the paint overnight to go off more before sealing and screwing the hatch on the correct way! But anyway as per the time, so after looking at a grotty looking deck for too long and tired of getting covered in white chalky paint every time you walk or kneel on it. I began repainting the white areas, let it dry overnight then return to mask up and start painting with KiwiGrip non-slip deck tred. The grey/white contrast looks great and makes it look more modern and far less tatty. Shame the weather turned and I couldn't do anymore, maybe this weekend.
