Miro Bay to Stafford Bay

Another relaxing start to the day and another cracker of a morning. We got up had a dabble with the fishing rod but to no avail then I set to work in the kitchen and whipped up some scrambled eggs on toast with a large helping of mushrooms on the side YUM! we then packed things away before looking over the map and fishing guide and decided to head further out toward the heads and maybe into Beatrix Bay. We pulled the anchor and headed out into the sound, the breeze was building and we had full sail up, however the wind kept building and building and before we knew it we were close hauled beating into 25kn and fighting weather helm so reefed in and decided to turn around and head back into the shelter of one of the nearby bays (almost next door to where we had stayed the previous night). We pulled into the bay north of Wilson bay and hid in behind the mussel farms but it was pretty exposed still and we seemed to be dragging into shore (maybe) so pulled up and headed to Wilson Bay where we had a late lunch and relaxed for a while before deciding to find somewhere else more suitable for the night which was looking to be a bit windy. So we motored around the the next bay which was Stafford Bay and there was a club mooring so gladly took that as we know its going to be good holding and we don't have to worry about dragging anchor in the night. And soon enough the wind picked up more and whipped around in a circle in the bay, we all retired down below to keep out of the weather and had some drinks and dinner and another night of games around the table. The wind was absolutely howling outside and well over 30kn in the sheltered bay (well thats my guess but the fact it was making to boat heel 10 degrees on the mooring! thank god we are not anchored!!!). Eventually after many a drink and many a game we hit the sack and listened to the wind howling through the rigging and the wind gen whizzing away down the back of the boat.
